A small weather station stood on top of a hill in Barangay Malinis. Every day, its instruments measured the temperature, wind speed, and rainfall. The data helped farmers decide when to plant their crops and when to protect them from storms. One morning, the technician noticed that the wind speed was unusually high. He immediately sent a warning to the barangay officials. Because of the early alert, the community prepared for the strong winds and avoided damage to their homes.
